Organized Chaos (Acts 23)

Some of us revel in chaos, and some of us drown in it.  Chaos can seem totally against the way God intends life to be, and yet chaos continues.  (don’t worry, I am not going to get too philosphical) Here is the principle-  God will bring order out of chaos.  He did it in Genesis:

“Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep,
and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” (2:3, NIV).

Pure chaos.

“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’” (2:4, NIV)

Pure order.

Chaos to God is like a good batter for a perfect cake.  A soupy mix can become the centerpiece of a wedding.  I think this was God’s message to Paul in Acts 23:11. “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

The chaos of Jerusalem was leading Paul to Rome.
