We start a new series this weekend at True Life Church with a focus on vision and mission for our lives. Vision is where I see myself going. Mission is how I am going to get there. This series is based off the book “Chazown” by Craig Groeschel. I want to admit to you right now, that I use material from other people. The only one who creates from nothing is God. Everyone else creates from something. I want to challenge you to read great book like this.
Ok..by now you are wondering how to pronounce “Chazown”. Get a little flim in your throat, and then say “kha-zone“. Perfect. This word is the Hebrew word for “vision”. As in:
“Where there is no vision (chazown), the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18, KJV)
What’s the vision for your life? Where do you see your spiritual walk in 5 years? Your education? Your marriage? Kids? Work? God has a Chazown just for you.
Hey Mark, this sounds like a cool study. This is actually exactly what I’ve been talking to God about and others lately. What is my mission & vision? I have lots of questions but I’m learning to be okay with that. It is a process and the key is to keep walking in trust and not be paralyzed by fear. (Just talking out of what I’ve been learning lately and constantly need to remind myself of.
Stacia, most of us get stage fright with vision. We fear that we are doing the wrong thing so we do nothing. Keep running a good race, and God will keep you on the right course. blessings,
