I still look 22 (in my mind)

This past year marked 33 years I have been spinning around the globe. To some this seems old, and to others it seems young. Age, cracks me up. It is the quintessential example of an uncontrollable thing, and yet millions try to fake being older or younger. However, the gap between the age I look on the outside and the age I feel on the inside is growing.

I still internally feel young and invincible. My body (especially my hair) refutes that evidence. Each week I watch the video from Sunday’s service. (One of my communication principles is “If you want others to listen to you, you have to be willing to listen to yourself”). I noticed this past week that when I lowered my head, the top of my head is shining a little more. LOL.

A large part of knowing where your life is going, is knowing who you are (and who you are not). God’s vision (where I am going) for my life has never changed. The mission (How I get there) continues to be adapting with where I am in life. I can’t let the difficulties of the mission hinder the vision (Chazone). If one way doesn’t work, God will find another way for me.

I am starting to read Nehemiah today for my devotional and sermon prep work. God’s vision for Jerusalem was to be the image of who God is. (God has the same image for my life). Nehemiah was to help rebuild the walls (mission) in order to restore God’s vision.
