I love the term “Imagineering”. Disney has used it to describe people who come up with the rides at the Disney Theme Parks. I learned about “Imaganeering” at a conference where McNair Wilson (www.mcnairwilson.com) gave a speech about creativity. McNair worked as an imagineer for Disney for many years. The Disney Corporatation creates by getting a bunch of out-of-the-box thinkers together and letting their collective imagination run. If someone throws out an idea, it can’t be shot it down. Another imaganeer can only add to it be a “yes, and” statement. McNair was the lead imagineer in the development of the “Tower of Terror” at Disney MGM. You can read about how they came up with that idea at www.towerofterror.org.
God is the giver of creativity, and fully put His wonders on display through nature. There are people who block the creativity of God in there lives with attitudes of: “But God, that’s too hard”, “that will cost too much money”, “that takes too much time”, etc.
God created the Seven Natural Wonders all through a single thought.
A God like that can help me with what I am facing today.
I might just have to say, “Yes, and”
I know that Lead Pastor is the trendy title for “Senior Pastor” now. However, I would love to invent a new title: “Imagination Pastor” or “Pastor of Imagineering” or “High Puba of Creativity” or “Creativity Pastor” or “Lead Instigator”or … Maybe it’s time to each some lunch…Blessing,
