Getting Lost (again)

I am always lost in Cary. Always. I can never figure out if I am north, south, east, or… I am just lost. I grew up in Oklahoma City where the whole city is mapped out on a grid. The major roads are a mile apart so the most you should every be lost is for one mile. (It’s a beautiful thing).

Somehow in Cary (which is a suburb of Raleigh) I feel like a mouse in a maze. I can’t tell you how many times I have pulled out a map to figure out how in the world I am on “Maynard Street” street, again. Most people drive their lives like I drive through Cary. They know generally where they want to go, but they have no idea really how to get there. They want a meaningful career, a healthy marriage, good kids, great friends, and to make heaven their home. But, they are not certain if the road they are on will take them there.

Principle: Everyone ends up somewhere. Few people end up somewhere on purpose.

How do you determine you are on track with where you want to go? What is your GPS for navigating life?
