I continue to mull over this concept of my life set to music. Every person has a rhythm and a melody. Some of us are high paced, like a John Phillip Sousa march, while others of us are easy-going as a Jack Johnson beach song.
(A funny observation: A high paced march can never be played properly with a single instrument, and high paced people most often are backed with a concert of people trying to keep up with their pace. Conversely, Jack Johnson music can sound better unplugged around a campfire with the sound of the surf as the only accompanying sound.)
Part of the blog I like is the last.fm. You will see it on the right hand side of the blog below the books I am reading. This program updates through my itunes & ipod to show the last couple of albums played. It has been fun for me to go back and look at to what I have listened over a week or month. I can tell exactly what my mood is based on these songs.
We were built to be worshipers. Humanity is going to worship something: Fame & Fortune are the leading objects of worship in current culture. Worship is an action, and the object of my worship is the thing that motivates me to action. As a follower of Christ, everything I do is motivated by my commitment to reflect Christ. Everything should sound like worship to Christ.
