I have a question that maybe you can answer. I have been thinking a lot oabotu philosophers like Plato and Socrates, and I was wondering, considering the timeline of their exoistence, how would they have known about a relationship with God. How would God have saved them from an eternity in hell? they were around WAY before salvation and they were in a part of the world that the Old Testament doesn’t really focus on…

    Kendra,
great question… In general, I think your question could be restated, “how do people who have never heard of Jesus be judged for not knowing him.”
    1. No one escapes general revelation (Romans 1:20)
    2. God judgment will be perfect (Romans 2:2)
When the final judgment occurs not one person who has lived will be able to make excused before the “absolute truth” of God’s knowledge.

Let me take a little time to ponder the specifics of how this applies to Plato and Socrates era.

Hey! Do you know the video is no longer available?

ok, sounds good…I was just really curious…especially because things like pedifilia and homosexuality were rampant in their culture, and no one told them it was wrong….

    Aron,
It seems to be working now. Did you enjoy the game last night? :-) Duke is beginning to heat up!
