Good Friday

Last night Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the trial of Jesus has started.  They have accused him of fostering a rebellion against Caesar and blasphemy.  Accusations are shouted, but Jesus remains silent.  He is silent on this day, because it is not His sin that is taking him to the cross.  It is ours.

This is “Good Friday” because Jesus died the death we should have died: the death for sin.  Today is a day for confession, repentance, and thankfulness for the death Jesus died.  He died in our place, so that one day we might live in His place, heaven.

Make sure you take time today to stop, think about the cross, weep, and be thankful.

Today is the day that Jesus tuned the greatest symbol of cruelty, the cross, into the greatest sign of hope.
SUNDAY IS COMING!!!
