Sunday in Review

I don’t know how some Pastors take Monday off.  I can’t do it.  I have to get back in there  to get the week moving on.  Most Monday’s I take some time to review Sunday, and I thought I would let you peak into my thinking process (Caution:  Make sure you are securely fastened and Keep all hands & feet insinde the ride at all times)

My Monday Morning Thoughts:

  1. I love what we are doing through missions.  First ever world missionaries at TrueLife were Austin and Katy Young.  What a great young couple.
  2. I loved the sermon.  Ok, I know I was the one who taught it, but as a pastor some messages resonate with you more than others.  This one was very important, because it described how I determine a successful church.  I wish I had a giant napkin on stage to write my notes upon, instead of the giant post it note. A huge napkin would be awesome.
  3. People should not take summer vacations.  There I said it… now I am getting over it.  Setup on Sunday was a whirlwind, as we had several people who normally setup gone.  Much thanks to the crew that went above and beyond the call of duty on Sunday to make service happen.
  4. Sound Systems are a result of the fall, and therefore cursed.  Our new sound system is on its way sometime soon, and we are in desperate need of it.  I am scared we are going to overload the borrowed system we are currently using.
  5. I feel a gathering tide of momentum for TrueLife.  I believe that at the end of August into the first of September, we are going to see an incredible season of growth.
  6. I love TrueLifers.  I belive that you are going to be the church with your “2nd spaces”
