Day Four: (Judges 4) 28 Days in the Book of Judges

The election is over and we have a new president-elect in our country.  The news love to show exuberance and despair on a day like this, but there is a bunch of us in the middle that has a quiet smile.  Today as an American, you should smile.

  • We had one of the oldest presidential candidates:  Leadership is not limited by age.
  • We had two women take center stage of the political arena: Leadership is not limited by gender.
  • And now we have an man of African descent chosen as President:  Leadership is not limited by race.

Judges 4 is all about breaking through limitations we put on our lives:

“4 Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.”

I am sure that in the days of Deborah, not everyone was happy with her being the leader.  God’s soverignty is never in jeopardy by any election, anywhere in the world.  He has no limitations on who He uses to work out His plan to save as many as possible.  That includes people like you and me.
