Day 5: (Judges 5:1-18) 28 Days in the Book of Judges

The war is over and what do they do? Sing a song, of course.

1 On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song:

2 “When the princes in Israel take the lead,
when the people willingly offer themselves—
praise the LORD!

3 “Hear this, you kings! Listen, you rulers!
I will sing to the LORD, I will sing;
I will make music to the LORD, the God of Israel.

Where has the great music gone?  For centuries, the best music was found from people who followed God.  The most beautiful poems, writings, paintings, and choruses were centered around Christ.  I long for a time when spirit filled artist are inspired by the Great Creator to fill our thoughts with descriptions of what God has done.

I am not a lyricist nor a composer, but I hope someday someone listens to a lesson of mine, and it insipires them to write.  That would be simply incredible.  I am going to put a little more song in my day today.  Go ahead and make the day a musical.  (Musicals can be manly, right? :-)
