Kelly and I just finished listening to this sermon … what a great series! I think it’s your best yet. I did have one interesting idea while listening:
The river imagery with God’s directions as the banks of the river was good, so that when the river crosses the banks and we are outside of God’s boundaries destruction occurs. In the same way when the river is low and not flowing enough, famine insues … just as when Eve restricted God’s directions by adding extra boundaries to God’s limitations. If we don’t flow to the full capacity of God’s designs then famine, weakness and drought can occur in our lives as well …
Love the thought.. Blaine. There should be freedom in the midst of the banks of God’s direction. As a teen I used to canoe down the Arkansas River. It was pure fun to have the freedom to swim, jump, and play.
