28 Days with Paul: Days 1-3

During this first week, the goal is to get know the Saul of Tarsus prior to the first missionary journey.  Often in reading biblical text, we can dehumanize the characters involved.  Pre-Acts 9 Saul still has a lot in common with the Post-Acts 9 Paul.  The transformation on the Damascus road did not morph Saul into a robot.  He still dealt with the good, bad, and ugly characteristics of his personality and up-bringing.

Just like us.  I believe that the transformational process is instantaneous.  It is a moment of saying “yes” on our Damascus road.  However, the metamorphosis  of our spirit, internal character, and external actions is a journey.  The progressive nature of this journey begs us to reflect upon how we are changing.  Are we becoming more or less like Christ?

Technical note – Sunday’s Sermon had a recording error that caused a major problem with sound. We will try to resolve it, and repost the sermon. I am sorry for the delay.
