This Sunday we will be walking through this text as a church community. I am really looking forward to that.
For my devotional time today, here is what stood out in the text:
“44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.” (Acts 13:44)
“The whole city”… wow.. Raleigh/Durham/Chapel hill is exploding with growth and does not appear to be slowing down any time soon. I say in a blog a way to think about this growth.
“It took Raleigh 178 years to reach 122,830 people (Census 1970). By next year’s Census, Raleigh will likely have grown about 122,830 people since 2000.”

TrueLife will not hide inside a building and hope the community gets better on its own. We must learn to communicate the Gospel in a way that is understandable to our emerging culture. Until the whole city has heard the “the Word of the Lord”.
