We also encourage everyone to take a focused time of prayer and pray for Pastor Mark, Darcy and their children.  We are praying that God would refresh them spiritually, that He would strengthen their family, pray against any attacks of the enemy that could bring harm, and for good health.

This past Sunday we talked about the character in (King) David’s life.  I would like for each of us to take time reflecting on our character and ask God to reveal to us what He is formulating in us?  Please take time to meditate on the scripture before you begin your time in prayer.

Scripture Reading:

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.  5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  – 2 Peter 1:3-8

This Week’s Prayer Focus: Ask that God would help you identified what He is wanting to formulate in you?

HOW TO PRAY:

Take time to Thank God for His Goodness:  (Psalm 84:11, Psalm 34:8-10)

Confess before God personal sin in your life: (1 John 1:9, Psalm 32)

Listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit to speak to you:  (This is also a good time to meditate on scripture – Hebrew 4:12, Psalms 119 ) (John 14:16-17, John 14:26)

Pray for people within our church community: (Ephesians 1:15-23, Ephesians 6:18)

Pray for the leaders within TrueLife: (1 Thessalonians 5:12-23)

Pray for family and friends: (Galatians 2:2, Galatians 5:1, Philemon 4-7)

Finish your prayer time by giving praise to God for who He is. (Psalms 35:27-28, Psalms 150:1-6)
